Three individuals got arrested and one more is on the run regarding a shooting incident that happened last week. This incident wounded eight high school students at a bus stop in Northeast Philadelphia. The students, aged between 15 to 17, were at the stop around 3 p.m. on March 6 when three people got out of a car nearby, approached them, and fired around 30 shots before fleeing. The police, led by Commissioner Kevin Bethel, utilized evidence such as two stolen vehicles to identify the suspects.

Jamaal Tucker, 18, surrendered himself, and Ahnile Buggs, also 18, was arrested over the weekend. Both are being held on a $16 million bail. Jermahd Carter, 19, was arrested by US marshals and Philadelphia police. His bail is set at $4 million. There’s one more suspect, and authorities are urging their surrender. The fourth suspect, Asir Boone, 17, hasn’t surrendered, and a reward of $5,000 is offered for information leading to his arrest.

The incident has sparked concerns about public transit safety and the safety of students in the city. Firearms are still a major cause of death among children and teens nationwide. Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker assured residents of efforts to enhance safety, emphasizing collaboration with various partners.

The district attorney mentioned that Tucker and Buggs face charges related to all eight victims, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and firearm charges. Carter is wanted for attempted murder and firearm violations.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges these individuals face.
