Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, got a six-month probation on Thursday. This happened after he admitted to a simple battery charge, as per court documents.

“Jackson is grateful for the support from family and friends in the past year. He admitted to a simple battery charge and was given six months of unsupervised probation,” said Brandan Davies, Jackson’s lawyer, when talking to CNN on Friday. “Jackson just wanted to put the case behind him and move on with his life. The matter is closed, and no more statements will be made.”

In May 2023, Mahomes was arrested and faced three charges of serious sexual battery and one of regular battery by the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office. However, the court records show that in January, the prosecutors dropped the three serious sexual battery charges.

Patrick Mahomes, Jackson’s brother, is the main quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and has won two Super Bowls. He’s also the only quarterback to be the league’s MVP twice in just six years.

In February, Patrick Mahomes Sr., their father, was arrested in Texas on suspicion of driving under the influence.
