The Untold Festival is a big music party in Europe. People love it because it has famous singers and DJs like Armin van Buuren and Tiësto. It started in Romania in 2015 and won a prize for being the best festival in Europe.

Now, they had a new festival in Dubai, a city in the Middle East. Big stars like Ellie Goulding and Bebe Rexha performed there. CNN talked to Edy Chereji, one of the people who started the festival.

CNN: What’s Untold Festival like, and how do you feel about being in Dubai?

Edy Chereji: It’s our first time here, and we made Dubai’s first big festival. We’re happy to be here after 10 years of success in Europe. We started in Romania and became one of the biggest festivals there.

We had many famous artists over the years like Armin van Buuren and David Guetta. We thought it would be cool to have a festival in another place, so we chose Dubai. It’s a city where people from all over the world come, and now we can give them another reason to visit.

CNN: Can you tell us about the artists who performed?

Edy Chereji: We had different types of artists on four stages. We had popular DJs like Armin van Buuren and Hardwell, who are loved here. We also had artists for different communities in Dubai. For example, Badshah performed for the Indian and Pakistani communities, and PSY for Asians. We wanted to include everyone because Dubai is home to many nationalities.

CNN: Will you come back to Dubai?

Edy Chereji: Definitely. Dubai has become famous for its landmarks like the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa. We want to create something iconic for Dubai with our festival in the long run.
