Reports says that there were three people involved in robbery that took place at Liberty Jewelers, located at West MLK Boulevard. Police collected many evidence, talked to every eye witness, checked several camera footage and found the number plate of the car in which robbers ran away. It happened on Friday around 1 p.m. A woman was seen entering the store, she did not buy anything, and just walked around for a few minutes before leaving. Just a few moments later, she came back but this time not alone.
The woman walked towards the store and held the door open to let the robbers run in quickly. A sudden chaos occurred at the store, one of the robbers smashed the display glass case with a hammer and started looting the jewelry. Whereas the second robber stood at the gate with the lady pointing his gun inside the store.
An armed employee shot at the robbers to frighten them causing them to run out of the store. The car they used to run off in had a white paper tag showing OTX4425. Tampa police is still searching for these suspects and the car used for robbery.
