The leader of Philadelphia’s LGBT community and her husband got in trouble with a state trooper last Saturday, which the mayor finds worrying. There’s a video online showing part of the incident, and the police confirmed it.

Celena Morrison, who heads the LGBT Office in the city, recorded her husband Darius McLean’s arrest on Vine Street Expressway. In the video, she keeps saying, “that’s my husband,” while McLean is on the ground.

McLean says in the video, “It’s because I’m Black,” but the trooper denies it.

Later, the trooper approaches Morrison, and the video gets shaky.

The police report says both Morrison and McLean were resisting arrest during a traffic stop.

The trooper pulled over a gray Infiniti for breaking traffic rules. Then a green Dodge pulled up and the driver argued with the trooper.

The Dodge driver wouldn’t obey orders, so the trooper tried to arrest them. Both the Dodge driver and the Infiniti driver (McLean) interfered with the arrest, so they were all arrested.

The report doesn’t mention Morrison or McLean’s names.

Morrison’s sister shared the arrest video on Facebook, but it’s not there anymore.

The state police haven’t named the trooper in the video. They’re investigating, and the trooper isn’t patrolling during this time.

There’s also a dashboard camera recording of the incident.

CNN has tried to get comments from Facebook, the police, and Morrison.

The mayor’s office asks for space and time to deal with the situation.

Mayor Cherelle Parker says she finds the interaction worrying and won’t comment further until the investigation is done.

The state police say they filed some charges, but the Philadelphia DA’s office hasn’t decided yet. The investigation is ongoing.

The DA’s office asks anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

They won’t comment further because it’s still under investigation.
