Philadelphia’s LGBT affairs leader and her husband got into trouble during a traffic stop, and the mayor finds it worrying. The leader, Celena Morrison, recorded part of her husband’s arrest. In the video, she says he’s her husband, and he claims it’s because he’s Black.

The trooper, not named in the video, stopped a gray Infiniti for multiple violations. A green Dodge also got involved, and the driver resisted arrest. Both drivers were arrested for various charges, but the report doesn’t mention Morrison or her husband by name.

Morrison’s sister posted the video on Facebook, but it’s not public anymore. The state police won’t reveal the trooper’s name, and the mayor’s office asks for time. The mayor called the incident concerning, and the state police are still investigating.

Charges were initially declined by the DA’s office, pending further review. The investigation is ongoing, and they encourage people with information to come forward.
