CNN predicts that Donald Trump will win the Republican presidential caucuses in North Dakota, giving him a boost before Super Tuesday. This is his third consecutive victory in the state. In 2020, he had no opposition, and in the previous election, he defeated Ted Cruz and John Kasich.

Trump is the favorite and has the support of North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who was a 2024 campaign rival but dropped out in December and endorsed Trump just before the Iowa caucuses. Trump will receive all 29 delegates from the state party, bringing him closer to the 1,215 needed to be the GOP nominee.

North Dakota has consistently voted for the Republican candidate in the past 14 presidential elections. The last time a Democrat won was in 1964 when Lyndon B. Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater. In 2020, Trump won the state against Biden by more than 30 points.
