Nikki Haley, a Republican candidate for president, wrongly stated that Joe Biden calls anyone who doesn’t support him “fascist.” In reality, Biden has not used the term “fascist” to describe all of Trump’s supporters. While he criticized the extremism of Trump’s movement, he made it clear that his comments don’t apply to all Republicans.

Haley’s claim about Trump is more plausible, as he did refer to some opponents as “vermin.” However, he didn’t specify who he excluded from this label.

Biden’s use of the words “fascist” and “fascism” has been primarily in reference to historical events like World War II, not directed at Americans. In speeches criticizing Trump and the MAGA movement, he described their philosophy as “almost like semi-fascism,” but he never labeled all opposing Americans as fascists.

Haley adjusted her claim after a primary win for Trump in South Carolina, stating that Biden “calls his fellow Americans fascist.” However, this narrow statement still lacks strong evidence, relying on Biden’s characterization of the MAGA philosophy rather than a direct accusation of all Americans who don’t support him.
