If you really enjoy using TikTok and are worried about what might happen because of a new law, there’s no need to panic just yet.

Basically, some people in the US government are concerned about TikTok because its parent company is from China. They’re trying to make a law that would force TikTok to separate from its parent company or else it can’t be available on app stores in the US.

But don’t worry, this law still has a long way to go before it becomes real. First, it needs to be approved by the Senate, and that might not happen easily. Many people who use TikTok are also voters, and they don’t like this law. They’ve been telling their senators not to pass it. Even the leaders in the Senate are not sure if they want to vote on it.

And even if the law somehow gets passed, TikTok might fight against it in court. They’ve done it before in Montana. So, TikTok might still be around for a while.

But let’s say the law does go through. It would give TikTok about five months to separate from its Chinese owner. If they don’t, then TikTok won’t be available for download in US app stores.

And if you’re worried about what other apps to use instead, there are plenty out there. YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and others have similar features to TikTok. But, let’s be honest, TikTok has its own special charm that’s hard to find elsewhere.

So, while things might change for TikTok, it’s not the end of the world. There are other options out there, and TikTok itself might find a way to stick around.
